Safety First
| At Asuka Laser Systems, we deem that the
top priority should always be safety –– safety for the
surgeons, safety for the nurses and safety for the pets.
Laser is a very useful tool, but laser energy can cause
injuries. As professionals of laser systems, we want to
remind you of the following: |
- The laser beam barely spreads after it leaves the
fiber tip into the air. It travels straight forward
with little diffusion. It is dangerous and can damage
the eyes when pointed directly at a pet or person.
Never aim the laser beam to anyone’s eyes.
- Even the reflected beam can be harmful. Please
avoid using shiny instruments near the surgical
site.
- Always wear the protective eyeglasses or
goggle.
- Make sure to hang a “Danger” sign at the entrance
of the surgery room where the laser system is
installed.
- It is advisable to nominate a responsible person
to keep security of the laser system and the safety in
the laser room.
- And remember, the laser system has an EMERGENCY
button on its top.
