Glaucoma/entopion

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is a disease caused by worsening circulation of aqueous humor and rising intraocular pressure, which causes pain and decreases visual acuity and occasionally visual loss.
Rising intraocular pressure is reduced by ophthalmic solution at the early stage. When ophthalmic solution is not effective and unstable intraocular pressure continues, through pleural laser ciliary body coagulation is processed.
The medical care can be processed without scalpel. Infection risk is low after operation. It does not require any other special devices and equipment other than laser device.
It is important to continuously examine status of intraocular pressure after operation.

【Remarks of medical care】

When high intraocular pressure continues over a certain period of time, it is becoming difficult to lower intraocular pressure with ophthalmic solution. It sometimes causes vision loss.
It is recommendable to consult with specialist doctors if sore eyes and eye increase are noticed with intraocular pressure measurement using special device.
It is recommendable to process laser therapy at the early stage to keep eyesight if ophthalmic solution is not effective.

Entropion

It is reported that laser therapy, which damages hair root, enables permanent hair removal.
Likewise permanent hair removal is also possible for entropion.
However general anesthesia I necessary for laser irradiation. Multiple operations are necessary depending on hair cycle.
Pigment loss occurs temporarily after laser irradiation since eyelid part is mostly black for two to three months.

【Remarks of medical care】

It is recommendable to use laser therapy if general anesthesia can be processed and if there are multiple entropion. For few entropion, it is recommendable to remove them.
If entropion is repeated many times, permanent hair removal operation is recommendable.
